Complementary to loss control
Your loss-control team can’t be everywhere. We’re the local hands.
Your loss-control department produces excellent guidance at scale. What it is not structured to produce — because no carrier’s is — is a site-specific, individually documented assessment with a named owner and a due date on every recommendation, followed by the plan development, staff training, and exercise programme that make those recommendations operational.
That gap is where your claims come from.
An insured with a current, trained, and tested plan is a materially different risk from one with a binder written in 2015 naming people who no longer work there. Today there is often no reliable way to tell them apart from the file.
Consistent, comparable output
Every site receives the same assessment structure, the same scoring scale, and the same report format — so results are comparable across a book, while the content stays specific to each site.
We reference, never duplicate
We cite your loss-control material rather than rewriting it, and we align to whatever standard you prefer.
No equipment, no conflict
We sell no cameras, software, or systems and take no referral compensation from anyone who does — so no capital recommendation we make is shaped by what we would like to sell.
Two metros, on the ground
Wichita, Kansas and Phoenix, Arizona on site, with remote assessment, planning, and quarterly intelligence nationwide.
Closing the recommendations you have already made.
- Insureds who accepted the recommendation and never acted on it. Usually not resistance — usually no time, no expertise, and no idea where to start. That is a solvable problem and it is the one we are built for.
- Grant-eligible nonprofits. Federal nonprofit security funding presupposes a documented vulnerability assessment. We produce the document, and the funded work often follows at no cost to your insured.
- Accounts facing a compliance deadline. School emergency planning mandates, healthcare exercise obligations, and state workplace-violence requirements all create a dated, non-optional need.
- Portfolio-level visibility. For pools, dioceses, and associations: one standard, a roll-up view, and a site-specific document for each member.
What we ask for. Consideration for your trusted-provider, vendor referral, or loss-control partner programme — and a short call to understand your requirements and application process. We are not asking you to hand us a list of policyholders.
Practitioners, and a documented method.
Advantage Risk Consulting is a co-owned Kansas limited liability company. Its two founders bring decades of combined military, law enforcement, and security service — tactical team operation and command, school resource officer duty, incident command, and instructor credentials across active threat response and related disciplines.
The firm runs a fixed methodology with variable inputs: the same structure, the same scoring scale, and the same report format every time, with content specific to each site’s mission, location, people, and current threat environment. Services span all-hazards risk and threat assessment and CPTED analysis; emergency operations plan and policy development; staff and leadership training; tabletop, functional, and live exercises with after-action reporting; and retained advisory including periodic reassessment and quarterly threat and trend intelligence.
We carry commercial general liability and professional liability coverage, and can furnish a certificate on request.
What people ask us first
Are you competing with our loss-control department?
No, and we would decline the work if that were the framing. We produce the site-specific, documented, trained-and-tested layer that a carrier loss-control function is not structured to deliver at scale. We reference your materials rather than duplicating them.
Do you want access to our policyholder list?
No. We are asking to be considered as a referral resource, so that when your team identifies an insured who needs site-level help there is somebody credible to point them to.
Can you deliver consistently across a book of business?
That is the design. Every engagement uses the same assessment structure, the same scoring scale, and the same report format, which is what makes results comparable across accounts. It is also what makes a portfolio roll-up possible for a pool or a diocese.
What is your service footprint?
On site across the Wichita, Kansas and Phoenix, Arizona metros. Assessment and planning work outside those metros is handled case by case; quarterly threat and trend intelligence requires no site visit and is available nationwide.
Do you carry professional liability?
Yes. We carry commercial general liability and professional liability coverage and will provide a certificate of insurance on request, along with our current credentials, as part of any vendor application.
A short call to understand your requirements.
Tell us what your trusted-provider or vendor programme requires and we will complete the application properly. If we are not a fit for your book, we would rather find that out in twenty minutes than waste your team’s time.
